Dinner Party Prep: Serve Four Dishes Together
Plan a multi-dish meal without guessing which task can run at the same time.
A dinner party schedule should make appliance limits explicit and leave you free to host near serving time.
1.Separate prep from cooking
Complete chopping, measuring, and cold assembly before the cooking window where possible.
2.Name each resource
For every task, specify oven, burner, microwave, or no appliance. One burner cannot do two things at once.
3.Add dependencies
Make sauce-after-searing and garnish-after-plating dependencies visible so the order is reliable.
4.Keep a recovery buffer
Reserve a small block near serving time for a late pan, a missing garnish, or guests arriving early.
