How to Rotate Furniture Around L-Shaped Corners
Plan the turn, not only the straight sections of the route.
Most difficult moves fail at a corner. A usable route needs enough area for the furniture footprint to rotate while remaining clear of walls and trim.
1.Draw both hallway rectangles
Map the widths and the clear square around the inside corner before moving anything.
2.Start with the smallest safe orientation
Remove detachable parts and identify whether standing the item upright reduces its footprint.
3.Rotate in small increments
Use a spotter and pause before trim, railings, or ceiling fixtures. Do not force the item through a contact point.
4.Escalate when needed
If the calculated path is marginal, consult a mover instead of relying on an approximation.
